My friend Nut-Meg, America's best cat
(so says she).
I'm not allowed
to chase Meg.

This champion mouser thinks that she's rather important.
Look for Nut-Meg at
MyCatHatesYou.com.
She
doesn't really hate you . . . or does she?

Gimlet & Nigel
Click on their photos to read more about this exciting duo. Painter, author, artiste-extraordinaire -- on the left it's my web pal,
Gimlet. And who is the dog known as Gimlet? Gimlet is a wee little sprite
who has taken the form of a Wire Fox Terrier. Tenacious? You know it. Cute as
cute can be? Naturally. In need of canine behavior modification? Not in a
million years! Read all about her and help Gimlet and yourself
avoid canine behavior modification. Run from that intervention, Gimlet.
Run like the wind!
Don't talk to me about the Long Down. I've been to boot camp. I know the Dog Nazi.
There is help, Gimlet. Click on my LINKS page to visit Gimlet's web site, or
click here to read more about her sad plight.
On the right is Gimlet's housemate, Nigel
Prescott.
Nigel’s claim to fame? He’s a mover and a shaker.
Nigel publishes his own web site, and just wait 'til you see it!
Unquestionably the inspiration for the wire-artiste movement in the
southeast, Nigel can’t do can’t. He lives with his own cat, Joe, so he obviously
advocates lenience for all creatures. Well,
maybe not – but he accepts the antics of Gimlet Rose, so he’s clearly a
candidate for canonization. Can you say benevolent? Click on his photo to
read more about this distinguished terrier. Visit my
LINKS page for a link to Nigel's web site.

It's Trudy Ann.
She's here because she's a friend of my lady's. I freely admit, I've got a few
jealousy issues with Trudy. There she is looking cute;
there she is again looking cute; there she is, probably turning away in shame
for being so cute (or is she showing-off that collar?); and there she is getting
a treat from MY lady. Trudy's home is Arizona but she travels the world.
My lady says that Trudy is the mascot for Team
Williams show handlers. What does that mean? It means that she sits on her
little throne-of-a-bed and surveys her kingdom at the dog show. Sometimes you’ll
find her in a tub of soft towels. She just sits there [OK, she naps a
lot, too], which is not natural for a young terrier. Shouldn’t she be leading
her uprights on a merry chase through the show site? What kind of
a Lakeland just sits there?
When I was very little Trudy was expecting puppies. Do you think she let me
nurse? No! and I’ll never forget it. Since then I’ve
seen Trudy several times in my young life -- perhaps once too
often. In the autumn she was in Pennsylvania and my lady stripped her jacket.
Hey lady, hands off Trudy!
One March Trudy was in San Antonio, and where do you
think she slept? Where do you think she slept!? On the
lady’s bed, that’s where! And where did I sleep? In my
dark, hard crate . . . surrounded by strangers . . . all
alone . . . lonely as can be. I KNOW, I KNOW. I’m astounded!
That’s way too much attention for Trudy Ann.
She travels
entirely too much. So what if she walks on a loose lead?! Someone send her
home.

Who is this scamp with the gleam in her
eye? It's my great-great grandmother, Crystal. She's an Auchenhove Champion,
just like daddy. She lives in California and likes to bark at seals.

It's Jax, my new boyfriend. He's plying me
with gifts -- bones and a toy. We had a
play-date on Wednesday. Of course he's not a Lakeland. He's a hunk of a Wire
Fox! The photo on the right was taken as Jax was first introduced to me. Oh
yeah, you can tell that he's utterly smitten by my charms and that's why he's in
the play position. Jax is a southern gentlemen who is quite the little traveler.
He's king of the castle at both of his homes . . . whether he's in-residence
in Dallas, or up in Sooner country. Will a long-distance relationship work?

My pal Elsa, walking on the grass in
Sweden. Brrrr, Elsa, you're going to have a cold first winter. Elsa is
just a baby girl. We have a lot in common -- Elsa rides on airplanes and has
also already made her debut in the show ring. Go, Elsa, go!

Here's one of our favorite pals, E.T.,
keeping an eye on the "other Lakeland" who lives upstairs. And there's Miss E.T.
enjoying just a wee nip of her lady's cocktail.

Here's my pal Lola, who lives in Canada where she is a famous
model. No, I'm not kidding -- Lola models elite doggy daywear, and you can see
why with a face this cute.

Lord have mercy! On the left it's Gracie the Lakie and
she is entirely too cute! Gracie is only a couple of weeks older than me, so you
know that she's probably a handful. What a life this girl enjoys. Gracie has her
own web site, and we have a link on my Links page.
On the left is Monte.
. . . Hollybriar Monte Carlo, J.E.
Now I've never met Monte, but I smelled him on the lady's sweater. Rumor has it
that she's petted him and even walked him at Montgomery. That is completely
unacceptable, regardless of how cute Monte is. We'll have no more petting of
other Lakelands.
Monte & Gracie are both junior earth dogs, just like me. Visit this
energetic duo and be sure to say hello.

Here’s my buddy Sagan at my
house, and Sagan at his own home nestled under the covers. Sagan has wonderful
manners when he goes visiting; and you should see this guy dive in to the pool
and swim. Sagan has a rubber wheel fetish, but his secret is safe with me (uh .
. . oops!).

Here's the Gia Pet, with her gorgeous ears, enjoying her
spa-day at the grooming seminar in Dallas.
NO, SHE IS NOT
SPOILED!! She is indulged, just the way I should be!

Archie is my half-brother. He's a few
years older than me, but we have the same pop. Archie lives in Louisiana, so
he's a Cajun terrier. Archie came to visit me in August. I pushed him in the
pool. Archie, it was an accident, I PROMISE it was an accident. Click
here to see him during his visit.

This is Ferguson, or Fergie . .
. Lakeland extraordinaire, star of stage, new Junior Earth dog, who lives a life
of which I can only dream. Now hold on a minute. We can't let you leave thinking that Fergie
always looks like this. Check-out these photos:

Here's our new internet pals, Tulip, shown at
eight weeks, and her play-toy R.C., at eight months
old. Are they cute, or what?! R. C. is giving you "the look" that makes
his people
do anything he wants. Keep up the good work, R.C.

It's my pal Zoe. She's wild . . . but
that's all about to come to a screechin' halt.

Here's my pal, Charles. That's Sir Charles, to you. He's a
recently-finished champion. Charles is my half-brother and play-buddy; he's also
Boomer's pop. Poor Charles . . . you can see that he leads a rough life, much
neglected and seldom indulged. I'm here for you, Charles, and I sympathize. I
haven't seen a new toy in almost five days.

Here is our family friend, Dolly, who lived with my
parents for a short while. Dolly now lives in Mississippi, where she loves to
fetch this red ball.

This is
Tex, who lives in Sweden. We've followed his exciting life since he was a pup at
Checkpoint Kennel. Tex is too cute! Here he is with Madicken, his charming owner. For more
of Tex, visit our Links page and click on Checkpoint
Kennel.

Here's my Jack Russell web pal,
Bobbie Lee, and the dainty Linda Louise. No,
Bobbie Lee isn't laughing AT you, she's laughing WITH you. Right. Visit our
Links page for a link to their very special web site.
